Day 1Arrival in Leh
Arrive in Leh and rest for the day to acclimatize to the high altitude. This is crucial to avoid altitude sickness. Leh Local Sightseeing (if time permits): Visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and stroll through local markets to experience the Ladakhi culture. Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 2Leh Local Sightseeing
Explore the famous Leh local sights:Shanti Stupa: A serene stupa with breathtaking views of Leh.Leh Palace: A historical royal palace with a rich Tibetan architectural style.Hall of Fame: A museum dedicated to the Indian Army's brave soldiers, especially those involved in the Kargil War.Magnetic Hill: An optical illusion where vehicles appear to move uphill by themselves.Sangam: The beautiful confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.Pathar Sahib Gurudwara: A sacred Sikh shrine with an interesting rock believed to have Guru Nanak's imprint.Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 3Leh to Nubra Valley
Start your journey from Leh to Nubra Valley via the iconic Khardung La Pass, the world's highest motorable road (5,359 meters).Khardung La Pass: Feel the thrill of riding through the highest pass, offering spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.Arrive in Nubra Valley, known for its desert landscapes and double-humped camels.Explore Diskit Monastery and the Buddha Statue, which offers panoramic views of the valley.Overnight stay in Nubra Valley (camp or guesthouse).
Day 4Nubra to Turtok and Back to Nubra
Ride to Turtok, a remote village close to the Indo-Pak border. Turtok has its own distinct culture and scenic landscapes.Return to Nubra Valley and explore more local sights like Diskit Monastery and the Buddha Statue.Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.
Day 5Nubra to Pangong Lake
Depart from Nubra Valley and take the scenic route via Agham Shyok Road, reaching Pangong Lake.Pangong Lake: Famous for its shimmering blue waters, this lake is one of the most popular spots in Ladakh. It also gained fame as the shooting location of the Bollywood film 3 Idiots.Spend the evening by the lake, taking in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying the beauty.Overnight stay near Pangong Lake (camp or guesthouse).
Day 6Pangong Lake to Leh
Ride back to Leh, crossing the Chang La Pass, the second-highest motorable road in the world (5,360 meters).Visit Thiksey Monastery, known for its impressive Tibetan-style architecture and magnificent views of the surrounding valley.You can also visit Hemis Monastery, a spiritual center for Buddhist culture.Overnight stay in Leh.
Day 7Departure from Leh
After breakfast, prepare for your departure from Leh. If time allows, you can visit local spots one last time or shop for souvenirs at the local market.Departure from Leh, marking the end of your unforgettable Ladakh adventure.
